Twitter has announced to bring back the closed accounts due to age restrictions. They have taken this step to comply with the new European Union’s Privacy Act.

Twitter said on Wednesday that, they did not expect that the account was opened at the time of 13 years, but now the minimum age of using this platform will be closed.

According to the General Data Protection Regulation law, the minimum age for using any online service is 13 years.

The Twitter support said they have recently changed their service due to the new Privacy Act (GDPR). These accounts are automatically closed by sending the confusing message that they are still under 13 years of age.

Twitter also says that they do not allow anyone under 13 to open or tweet a Twitter account according to the policy.
